The owners wanted to capture the sun for thermal mass heating so the floor was completed entirely in porcelain tiles.
The site required extensive excavation and foundation work. This was all taken into account at the planning stage to ensure a smooth build process. We also had to plan extensively around having rural access up a valley.
One of the most interesting features is there is no visible guttering. All guttering is internal with a waterfall tilt slab for run off, as well as internal red beech flitch beams with copper capping on all external beams.
