Registered Master Builders House of The Year Local Supreme Winner 2014.
This extensive renovation over the previous building’s footprint meant this home had tight recession planes to work with. The floor and some walls were to be retained into the new building plus a second storey was added within a gabled roofline following the sites recession planes.
Careful planning and utilisation of every square metre of space were needed to maximise the narrow, restricted site.
Many more new features have been added to make this home for modern living including a home office, new open plan kitchen, master bedroom upstairs and more storage space. The wide eaves provide shade from the summer sun whilst overlooking the mountains and lake.
A mixture of materials were used including schist, cedar and timber flooring.
