The bi-annual Ignite Wanaka Chamber of Commerce Business Awards took place last Saturday. The awards are a celebration of local business success, and a highly anticipated event. This year it felt particularly important to celebrate business success in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Dunlop Builders are extremely proud to have taken out the 'Outstanding in Trades and Infrastructure' award. With 19 years of business behind us, it was a wonderful acknowledgement of the efforts we put into the business, our team, and the community - as well as the beautiful homes we are already well known for.

The judges comments were:

“Dunlop performed exceptionally well in all areas. If we had to pick out several, they would be management systems and environmental and social responsibility. They provided clear financials and have grown a sizeable company. While the building industry has perhaps had a comparatively easier time of it over the 2020-2021 period, Dunlop demonstrates a determination to be the best they can be at what they do, embracing new technology and ideas. Their owners clearly have a passion for their business and are constantly looking at new ways they can develop the company and interact with their community. Impressive leaders in their community.”
