Renowned for our community spirit, locals know that Wānaka is a special place. The Local's Choice Wānaka awards gave our community the opportunity to recognise their favourite people, places and businesses. 

In February, locals nominated their favourite people, places and businesses. From there, the top three nominations were chosen for final voting, and on 30 March the awards ceremony took place at Paddons Paddock - a family run winery which has recently opened it's cellar door to the public.

Dunlop Builders are over the moon to have won as 'Favourite Building Company'. It means a lot to be recognised by the wonderful community that we live and work in. Dunlop Builders began life at the Dunlop kitchen table nearly 20 years ago. Since then, the company has grown in all aspects and so much of that success can be attributed to the supportive and unique community we are surrounded and inspired by. Where else but Wānaka would the local tip be voted 'Best Clothing Store'?! (nice one Wastebusters!)
